Robotics Squad

Robotics Squad

This academic year, our school successfully secured a grant from the Quality Education Fund (QEF) to launch the "Robotics Squad 2019" program for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students.

(Note: The program for Primary 1 to Primary 3 has been completed; the program for Primary 4 to Primary 6 will be conducted in the second term.)

Primary 1 to Primary 3

  • In the Primary 1 to Primary 3 curriculum, students engage with METAS electronic building blocks. Through phased construction activities, they progressively develop hands-on practical skills, computational thinking (Testing - Modeling - Debugging), creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Some of the electronic block projects are integrated with the students' personal visual arts creations, forming a cross-disciplinary curriculum that bridges General Studies and Visual Arts.
  • Lessons are conducted in small groups. To successfully assemble the building blocks and ensure they function properly, students must think critically and work closely together. This collaborative process allows them to demonstrate and strengthen three of the Nine Generic Skills: Communication Skills, Collaboration Skills, and Problem-Solving Skills.
