Yao Dao Secondary School is a whole-day government-aided secondary school. Operating in a "through-train" mode with Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Primary School, it is a millennium secondary school with a symmetrical six-year class structure (four classes per level, spanning across six levels). Yao Dao Secondary School is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of talents who are compassionate, visionary, well-educated, skilled, and highly adaptable. We aim to develop them into future leaders and professionals across various sectors, equipping them to embrace the many challenges in the social development of Hong Kong.

To better prepare students for their future studies and strengthen their ability to adapt to the New Senior Secondary curriculum, Yao Dao Secondary School adopts English as the medium of instruction for Mathematics and Science subjects from Secondary 1 to Secondary 3. Furthermore, to enhance students' language proficiency, the school places great emphasis on cultivating their interest and habits in reading and writing, and has formulated strategic measures to promote a strong reading and writing culture on campus.
