The learning content is tailored to students' abilities and needs, adopting a spiral approach to reinforce mathematical knowledge across different learning stages. Students are empowered to apply the mathematical concepts learned in class to observe, think critically, and solve problems in their daily lives.
By utilizing effective computational strategies, we enable students to perform calculations efficiently. We also equip students with specific techniques for tackling word problems, teaching them how to break down and solve questions step-by-step.
We strongly emphasize the connection between our teaching content and everyday life. Through hands-on classroom activities, students are encouraged to observe and experience more, seamlessly integrating mathematical concepts into their daily routines.
Through the manipulation of physical objects, we transform abstract two-dimensional concepts into concrete, three-dimensional learning experiences. Engaging in classroom activities allows students to develop their spatial awareness and construct geometric shapes to master related topics.
Throughout their learning journey, students are tasked with collecting data and constructing statistical graphs and charts, both by hand and by using software like Excel.
Students in Primary 5 and Primary 6 will study introductory algebra and learn how to solve equations.
